Balloons and a Rodeo, what a great way to spend a weekend in Orlando!  Check out the Blue Skies & Silver Spurs Festival at Oscelola Heritage Park the weekend of May 31st – June 2nd.  On Friday May 31st starting at 4pm, enjoy the sounds of songwriters as they perform the country songs they wrote for others to sing!  This is a unique experience because usually you only get to her the singers sing these wonderful songs.  Then later that night come see real cowboys ride bucking broncos, bulls and horses and they compete in the Silver Spurs Rodeo!

Come out bright and early on Saturday June 1st to see the hot air balloon launch at 7 am.  Then sit back and relax under the beautiful blue sky as the balloons float over head.  If you don’t want to spend the morning on the ground you can reserve your space now to be on one of the balloons as the float through the air.  For the adventurous ones in your group make sure they sign up for the Blue Skies Adventure Race.  The race will begin as the balloons are being launched at 7am.  The 3.5 mile race will be a rodeo themed adventure race.

At 12pm on Saturday the Songwriters are back to sing more of their popular country songs for you to enjoy.  Then that evening the Silver Spurs Rodeo is back in action!

On Sunday June 2nd there is one last chance to see the balloon launch at 7am and watch the balloons float over hear near Orlando.  This will be an exciting weekend of events for everyone to enjoy, check it out.

This event is perfect for Guests of all ages who enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature!  The kids will enjoy the new area Land of Oz, inspired by the new movie “Oz the Great and Powerful”.  You will see millions of blooming flowers and a vibrant collection of Disney-themed topiaries.

Don’t miss the Flower Power Concert Series presenting different artist playing tunes from the 50s through the 90s, during the weekends.  There is plenty of time to still experience this great event in Orlando the fun goes on until May 19th.

Save some gas and take a healthy way to work by biking on May 3rd in Orlando.  Who knows you might just start biking to work every day!

At the Food Preparation Demonstrations going on throughout the day you can learn how to eat more sustainably.  Some of the topics covered will be “Home Grown Raw Creations”, “Seasonally Eating Raw”, “How to Begin a Plant-Based Diet” and many more exciting topics.

Everyone will enjoy the Acoustic Music Stage with different musicians playing each hour.  Come spend the day learning how you can do little things to help the planet and have fun while you’re doing it in Orlando.

Come out and hear stories of the different air craft’s that have shaped our world today.  Wander around looking at many different types of aircrafts, listen to live music, and watch the airshow.  There will also be workshops, evening movies and much more.  On Friday April 12th and Saturday April 13th, in the evening there will be a Night Airshow and on Friday there will be fireworks! The kids will have a blast in the aviation themed kids zone.

On Friday April 12th is Air America Day, where you can learn more about this CIA project Air America that supported military personal and intelligence agents, during the Vietnam War.  These pilots were known for being “First in, last out”

After a fun night at Embers the rest of Fashion Week will move to The Abbey, located on Eola Drive in downtown Orlando.  On April 10th and 11th the show starts at 8 pm, where you will be able to see the hard work of local designers.

The shows will include sportswear, evening wear, swimwear, accessories and couture.  This year Orlando Fashion Week will debut “Pink Buttercup” a fashion line created by a very talented 9 year old, Talia Marie Gill.

Each night there will be an after party at the rooftop hideaway, Latitudes, which is also located in downtown Orlando.  So grab a friend and get dressed up for a night of fashion fun in Orlando.
