365 Things to do Orlando: Celebrate Earth Day!

Learn how folks in Orlando and the surrounding areas are helping the environment at the Central Florida Earth Day Festival. The festival will be held at Lake Eola Park on the east side on Saturday April 20th 10am – 6pm. There will be speakers, speaking on a wide range of topics relating to how you can help the planet. The kids will enjoy the Earth Kids Zone, where there will be lots of activities for the kids to see how they can help the planet. Your teen can enter a fashion contest where a team of “designers” will be given 30 minutes to create an up-cycled outfit to present at the Teens Go Green Global Eco Friendly Fashion Show.
At the Food Preparation Demonstrations going on throughout the day you can learn how to eat more sustainably. Some of the topics covered will be “Home Grown Raw Creations”, “Seasonally Eating Raw”, “How to Begin a Plant-Based Diet” and many more exciting topics.
Everyone will enjoy the Acoustic Music Stage with different musicians playing each hour. Come spend the day learning how you can do little things to help the planet and have fun while you’re doing it in Orlando.
