365 Orlando: 65. Pick up Farm Fresh Vegetables at the Downtown Farmers’ Market

farmers marketLooking for fresh ingredients for Sunday night dinner? Then head on down to the Downtown Orlando Farmers’ Market at Lake Eola Park. You will be able to choose the freshest ingredients from local farmers. Some examples of what you can expect to find are: tomatoes, carrots, oranges, local honey and many other local items. There is also a Wine and Beer Garden where you can choose the best wine or beer for your meal. The kids will enjoy talking to the local farmers about how they raise their fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits. As you wonder the booths you will be entertained by live musicians. Don’t forget to grab some kettle corn to snack on. You are able to get fresh produce every Sunday from 10 am -4 pm in Downtown Orlando at Lake Eola Park. Pick out your favorite summer recipe and head on out to the Downtown Orlando Farmers Market.

yellow-dog-eatsEnjoy lunch at the Yellow Dog Eats near Orlando. This great restaurant is located in an old country store building. The restaurant offers sandwiches, salads, and bar-b-que. The café also offers take-outs and Fish’s own bottled bar-b-que sauces. The shelves are also full of jams, jellies, preserves, and salsas. You can also enjoy art by some really good artist including the original painting that gave the place it’s name. Bring along a picture of your dog to hang on the wall with other patrons dog pictures. Outside in the backyard you will find a nice garden of beautiful flowers. The Yellow Dog Eats puts the fun back in dining. So make the short drive from Orlando and enjoy a great lunch from chef Fish Morgan.

Visit Orlando’s most exciting waterpark, Wet’n Wild-Orlando. This park offers exciting thrills that will leave you breathless and wanting to take another ride. There are also a variety of multi-passenger rides, you can boogie you way down the Disco H2O with friends. Or if you crowd is younger the park offers a Kids’ Park that features smaller versions of the park’s popular adult rides. After all the excitement of your day take a break on the Lazy River. So no matter who you bring with you there is something for everyone.

Slather on some sunscreen and pack up the kids for some fun in the sun at Wet’n Wild Orlando.

365 Orlando: 59. Silver Spurs Rodeo

Cowboys are taking over the Spurs Arena in Orlando for the 125th Silver Spurs Rodeo. Take your little buckaroo to enjoy bull riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronco riding, bareback riding, and barrel racing. And the  crowds favorites the cowboy clowns. The rodeo started back in 1941 with a group of people who shared a common love of horseback riding. This event grew in popularity to the become the rodeo it is today.

So lasso yourself some tickets for the Rodeo held on June 5th & 6th and head on down to the Spurs Arena in Orlando.

365 Orlando: 56 Dining At the Queen Victoria Room

Dining aficionados celebrated when the Queen Victoria Room debuted in January at Victoria and Albert’s in Orlando’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Set aside from the main dining room, the Queen Victoria Room features four tables that will be served the chef’s table menu for that evening. The chef’s table’s bill of fare is always different from the food served in the main dining room. Restaurant manager Israel Perez promises attention to your every whim.

Located at Universal Studio’s City Walk, it is an authentic replica of Marley’s home in Kingston Jamaica commemorating the “King of Reggae’s” international fame and Jamaican heritage. Lush greenery and artifacts from Marley’s legendary career surround guests in an open air veranda and courtyard. Over 100 photographs and paintings reflect pivotal moments in Marley’s life.

365 Orlando: 52. Swing Through the Tree Tops at Monkey Trunks

Spend the afternoon getting your heart pumping at the Orlando Adventure Course at Monkey Trunks. There are two exciting courses that offer over 35 unique aerial walkways. These walkways range from 15 feet to 50 feet in the air! The great thing about these courses is you will be able to move at your own pace and stay in the air your entire time. Once you are ready to get down you will have 3 different options, you can Zip, Swing or take the stairs.

The Exploration Course is a great way to start your adventure at only 15-feet above the ground with two different routes to choose from. Each course has it’s own different challenges including our 150-feet dueling zip lines! This course offers a saftey system designed to allow children from the ages of 5 and up to explore!

The other course is the Discovery Course is a three level structure that is a towering 55-feet in the sky! Once you ascend you will be able to choose your own pathways to create your own unique experience. This course boast two 600-foot zip lines and a 40-foot Giant’s Swing.

sluethsOrlando is home to a fun evening out with Sleuth’s Mystery Dinner Show. Show your investigative skills to help the outrageous slueths dinnercharacters that mingle with the guest. You may even be chosen for a cameo role in the show. These shows will keep you laughing with it’s improvisations and audience participation. Be prepared to stay on the edge of your seat as you watch for anything suspicious, hear as suspects are interrogated and hopefully the crime will be solved. You will enjoy a delicious dinner and dessert with unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks. The shows run 2-½ hours and the nightly shows feature one of the thirteen different mysteries.
