As you probably are aware, the Central Florida area is in a period of rapid growth. Home prices range from the $80 thousands for a house in a manufactured community to the many millions of dollars. Communities range in size from the small, with only a few homes, to huge town-like areas where you can live, work and play. Today’s featured community starts with an A – Avalon Park.
This community is in East Orlando, east of Alafaya Trail and south of Colonial Drive. http://www.avalonpark.com It is a world unto itself with its own Town Center which includes a medical center, as well as food stores, restaurants and shops. The community features individual neighborhoods on 1860 acres, 600 of which are preserved forest and open space, and 250 acres of which are man-made ponds. Avalon Park is near the Econlockhatchee River.
The schools serving Avalon Park are part of the Orange County Public School system. At this time there is Avalon Elementary School, Corner Lake Middle School and Timber Creek High School, the latter in Avalon Park. Avalon Park features homes by builders such as Ryland and KB Homes on 3400 homesites! There is a community pool in every village.
