For those who love to garden, living in Florida provides a delight. Trees maintain their leaves, grass remains green, plants continue to bloom.
It is a sunny paradise! In Orlando, winter mornings may bring temporary frost. Listen to TV or radio the night before. If the weatherperson predicts a frost, cover bushes, plants or shrubs with homemade remedies such as sheets or blankets. It is fun to drive through a neighborhood and see plants covered in this way! You will see that in November, for instance, it is advised to plant seeds, clean out birdbaths and prepare bird feeders for the winter influx of birds, and dunk chill-sensitive plants in cold water to chase away bugs before you bring them indoors.
