365 Orlando: 67. Canoe the Wekiva River

On this great adventure you will be exposed to a variety of wildlife including alligators, Florida black bears, white-tailed deer, river otters, and fox. As you float along keep a look out for great blue herons, great egrets, little blue herons, tricolored herons and swallow-tailed kites. And if you listen closely you may even here the pecking of a woodpecker. You will be kept cool as you row by the centuries-old oak trees that line the river’s banks.
