Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Lake Eola Park for the 40th annual Fireworks at the Fountain. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with activities for children, live music, and food and beverages available for purchase. The evening will conclude with a spectacular firework display in celebration of our nation’s freedom.

Handicapped parking will be available on Rosalind Avenue between Jackson Street and Central Boulevard for the event. Please approach the road closure and show the police officer your handicapped designation for parking.

Transportation Options
The free LYMMO Circulator is recommended for Downtown residents and attendees parking at garages other than the Orange County Library Garage located at 112 East Central Boulevard.

LYNX will be running on a normal Sunday service schedule for the holiday.

Let’s have fun with cooking at this six- week hands-on cooking course which teaches adults and parents how to prepare and shop sensibly for healthy meals on a limited budget. Please commit to the full six- week program. Lessons 1 through 4 include an instructor-led participatory food preparation session with sufficient groceries for participants to make and eat a serving of two to three recipes during class. During Lessons 1 through 4, participants will be provided with a take-home bag of groceries with the primary ingredients to make at least one recipe at home. Lesson 5 will include a trip to the grocery store or a simulated in-class store experience in which participants are given the opportunity to practice their shopping skills to purchase a healthy basket of food. Lesson 6 is a celebration! This event will be presented by Rachel Stankiewitch with the Family Nutrition Program at the UF/IFAS Extension office.
