365 Orlando 129. Visit the Heritage Museum
September 3rd, 2010 by tisnerStep back in time to one of the Orlando area’s great small towns Winter Garden. The Heritage Museum takes you back to a time when things were simpler. The 1918 Atlantic Coast Line Depot is home to this wonderful museum. Some of the things that you will see is a large collection of local citrus labels and Native American artifacts. Being housed in a Depot you would expect to see train memorabilia and that is just what you will get. The museum has railroad memorabilia from the early pioneer settlements all the way up to present day West Orange Country.
You can learn all about the restoration of Lake Apopka near Orlando and the history, of one of the largest lakes in Florida, because the museum is home to all of the Lake’s archives. You don’t want to miss this wonderful experience of Florida’s vast history.
